AS A kid I used to love the book Guinness World Records and wondered what record I would break. So, this week, in pursuit of a lifelong dream, I’m going for the world record for the most contributors in a single W’n’W column.

I love my TLAs (Three Letter Acronyms), but clearly W’n’W regular Dr Merian Waks of Carrum Downs, Vic, has had enough. She saw a mum who came for a referral and mentioned that her child had ODD, although the child did not seem strange or weird at all. She was unsure whether mum meant Obsessive Compulsive Disorder or Oppositional Defiant Disorder. The specialist letters suggested some ADHD traits but no formal diagnosis, so she is still none the wiser.
