A home away from home
SOMETIMES you need space – for the kids to play and the dog to stretch – in other words, a place like home. Emaroo Argent is that sort of cottage. Unlock the front door and you immediately feel at ease in the disabled-friendly period home with polished timber floorboards, local artworks and grandfather clock.
In the lounge, decorated in blue and ochre, comfy sofas are arranged around the log fireplace and wide screen TV.
There is broadband internet and a large collection of DVDs. Complimentary wine, chocolate-dipped orange slices and a decanter of port await.
Fully self-contained, there is a BBQ and outdoor entertaining area next to the fully enclosed grassed yard. The kitchen is well equipped including a sandwich maker and slow cooker.
There are two queen size bedrooms and a bunk room sleeping four, the latter filledwith soft toys, cushions, mini robes and an Xbox. There’s a bowl, blanket and toy for the dog too.
It’s a short walk to the centre of Broken Hill where Emaroo’s personalised vouchers offer discounts at local businesses.
If your feet are sore on return, soak them in the foot massager while relaxing with a magazine in your home away from home.
