Bid for HPV test funding put on hold

The Medical Services Advisory Committee (MSAC) has put on hold its consideration of an application for funding of HPV testing for triage of Pap smears showing atypical squamous cells of uncertain significance.
The MSAC website indicated that this was on hold until an application now being assessed for funding of automated liquid-based cytology was completed.
