Grants on offer

NURSES looking for career development opportunities may want to explore the recently announced scholarships of up to $10,000 being offered by the Royal College of Nursing Australia (RCNA).

Nurses re-entering the profession, or rural and remote nurses seeking to continue professional development, are eligible to apply for the grants, which are funded by the Federal Government and administered by the RCNA.

“Since their inception, nearly 5000 recipients have benefited from the funding available under these scholarship schemes. I would strongly encourage all eligible applicants to take advantage of this very valuable opportunity,” said the RCNA’s chief executive officer, Debra Cerasa.

Up to $6000 is on offer for nurses and midwives re-entering the profession, with as much as $10,000 for currently practising nurses.
