New ACRRM president

THIS weekend will herald a new era for ACRRM with president Dr David Campbell expected to step down after two years at the helm.Current vice-president Associate Professor Dennis Pashen is set to be sworn in as the college’s sixth president at the joint college and RDAA conference in Canberra.

Professor Pashen, who spent 20 years as a procedural GP in Ingham, Queensland, congratulated Dr Campbell for taking the college’s GP training program through the tough Australian Medical Council accreditation process.

As the new president, he said his focus would be “to concentrate on providing support for our membership and our trainees, and get more of our registrars in the training program”.
