I STILL find the concept of a poultice amazing. How a paste can draw out an abscess is beyond me.
Here in the remote NT, the nurses go through jars of Magnoplasm faster than margarine.
Dr Bernadette Cotter of Beechboro, WA, points out that the paste can become hard and difficult to use after the jar is opened. So she makes it spreadable again by microwaving the jar for 20-30 seconds.
