MO tipster’s safety device gets TV airing
THE creation of a simple tool to improve his colleagues’ safety has landed rural NSW GP Dr Hamish Steiner (pictured) a spot on the ABC’s New Inventors television show. After featuring in Medical Observer ’s GP Tips column , Dr Steiner, of Cooma, was invited to showcase his GPSafety product to a panel of experts on the program. The system consists of a small, illuminated panic button which plugs into the USB port of the doctor’s computer.
