A NATIONAL scheme is needed to provide international medical graduates with greater mentoring, support, and continuing professional development, according to the Australian Doctors Trained Overseas Association (ADTOA). The latest call comes as pressure mounts on the Government to scrap the controversial 10-year moratorium that forces IMGs to work in rural and remote areas. So far the AMA, RDAA and the RACGP have all voiced opposition to the scheme.
