Pityriasis variant
A YOUNG man presents with a red scaly rash in his groin. The large lesion came first and the others shortly afterwards. This is often diagnosed as tinea of the groin but he may have the same rash in his other groin and in his axillae. This is the inverse variant of pityriasis rosea .
