Progress of nurse practitioner law slowed by Senate rejection

CONTROVERSIAL laws granting nurse practitioners MBS and PBS access have stalled in the Senate after the Bill was referred for review by a legislative committee for a second time. The most recent blockage of the Bill’s progress comes as laws to enact new powers allowing Medicare to access patient records for compliance audits were also held up while the Senate and House of Representatives negotiated fresh amendments.
