Alternative health clinic forced to stop spruiking cancer treatments

A MELBOURNE alternative health clinic that claimed its treatment could cure cancer has been forced to suspend its advertising pending a Supreme Court trial. The state’s consumer watchdog, Consumer Affairs Victoria, has alleged the Hope Clinic and its director Noel Rodney Campbell “have engaged in misleading and deceptive conduct” in claiming its treatments are scientific and can cure cancer or prolong the lives of sufferers. Treatments being advertised include “ozone therapy”, a ketogenic diet designed to “starve” cancer cells and intravenous vitamin C therapy.
